We are very proud of our history with St Louis, Missouri
Rick took and passed the required electrical exam for licensed electrical contractors in the City of St. Louis.
Marshall Electric started with small residential projects, advertising by word of mouth among family and friends. This quickly led the company into the real estate industry. Upon becoming a part of the real estate industry, Marshall Electric began connecting with real estate offices and individual agents through phone calls and marketing. Soon after an abundance of work began available and Marshall Electric grew. By 1996 several office staff and field electricians came onboard due to the high work demand. to this item.
In mid 1997 while conversing with a friend, Kevin McDermott, he persuaded Rick into advertising in the local publication, The Pride Pages. The publication brought a new level of clientele to Marshall Electric. The company began getting calls, not just for residential work but, from bars and restaurants as well. Again the abundance of work allowed for the company to grow. With the growing company and clientele, Rick took the St. Louis County Electrical Exam to expand the company’s area of operation.
As the company grew and inexperienced electricians joined, Marshall Electric was able to send its employees to classes held by the St. Louis Electrical Board, in order to obtain the knowledge and industry standards required.
In 2000, because of our satisfied clients and their referrals, Marshall Electric was given the opportunity to work on larger projects. During this time, McGowan Brothers Development and Loft Works pioneered the Washington Avenue renovations and with their help Marshall Electric was able to hop on and expand our work into the condo electrical business.
In 2004 Sean Milanovits joined Marshall Electric under an apprenticeship rotation as an employee. His ambition was duly noted and after working in the field for 10+ years he approached Rick about wanting to become a partner. After 31+ years of owning the company, Rick was ready for an experienced and self-motivated partner.
At this time Rick has stepped back while maintaining the Project Manager and consultant position and the license holder. Sean is continuously working with existing clients and always looking for new clients and challenges that will allow Marshall Electric to grow even further.
